Even with the best of care, animals occasionally injure themselves. Any significant injury should be brought to the attention of your veterinarian.

Lesser injuries such as the following can be treated by first cleaning the area with a mild soap and water, then applying a Corona Ointment.

Riding, running, exercising or working your horses is important but it can also lead to strained muscles in your animal. Every horse can benefit from proper muscle care. Horseman’s Dream Liniment is carefully formulated to help relieve pain and reduce swelling of muscles and joints while aiding natural healing. Liniment is an effective addition to a horse’s everyday warm up and cool down routines. Rubbing liniment before exercising will encourage additional blood flow to the muscles, making them relaxed and more elastic. • Sore or Stiff Muscles: Massage generously several times daily with the liniment after a race or hard workout. Prompt use will help eliminate soreness and stiffness.
• Back, Shoulders, Loins: Massage generously and thoroughly with the liniment several times daily and if desired, wrap the affected area with a hot moist towel.
• Swelling: Massage thoroughly with the liniment. Wrap lightly with 3-5 layers of gauze saturated with the liniment and cover with several layers of gauze for 8-12 hours. If wrapping is not possible, massage with the liniment at least four times daily.
• Sprains: After removal of ice or cold packs to control swelling, massage and wrap the affected area following the same directions for “Swelling”.
• Minor Wounds, Cuts and Abrasions: Thoroughly cleanse the affected area with mild soap and water. Apply the liniment directly to the affected area and bandage as necessary.

Problem: Your horse’s coat is dull and lacks luster.

A healthy, bright and shiny coat of hair is the result of proper nutrition, exercise and grooming. Good grooming habits include daily brushing and periodic use of the right shampoo.

Solution: Use shampoos such as Corona Daily Care Shampoo Concentrate or Horseman’s Dream Purple Power Shampoo that will clean without stripping essential oils that add sheen.

Avoid household detergents and soaps. Avoid shampoos with silicone oils, since these attract dirt and grime and replace natural oils. Avoid fragrances as they tend to attract insects.

It is extremely important to follow a cleaning procedure with Lexol Conditioner.

• To begin, pour a little Lexol on a damp sponge or cloth and wipe onto the leather surface. Old, dry leather will absorb conditioner much faster than newer leather.
• Repeat the process to condition the entire saddle. Let the conditioner soak in for 20 to 30 minutes, then rub down with a dry towel.
